Our chance to keep American promise alive

Hope is a good thing, maybe the best of things, and no good thing ever dies.
-Shawshank Redemption

I hope. Man, do I hope. I hope Americans realize the importance of this next Presidential election. I hope you all listened to Barack Obama's nomination acceptance speech. If you did, I don't know how you could not see how much this country needs him for our next President. If you didn't listen to it, I deeply urge you to. It was a beautiful speech and he covered every doubt one could have and addressed every important issue facing our country. Please find it online and watch, I'm sure it will be up soon. The possibility of Obama in office is almost more exciting than I can handle, but the alternate thought of McCain taking over, terrifies me more than I want to imagine.

Obama is strong. He has plans, plans that will work. He is moral, he is kind. He can unify our country. He can protect our country. He can transform our nation sullied by the Bush administration. He is an inspirational, honorable leader.

It was a great speech. I'm excited. Barack Obama makes me proud to be an American.

I hope.

Everyone has their opinion..
(I Hope I can Leave this Comment without offending.. I love these conversations)
But to me it seems more Hype and Socialism, than a true American dream.. The American Promise isn't
re-distribution of wealth.
I hope people understand when you remove Motivation for success and replace it with more Government, we lose our great drive to create and grow and love Life.... It was a good Speech, and Obama sure knows how to play to an audience.. But People will realize that America is more important than fine speeches, and lofty idea's..

Obama's speech was a breath of fresh air. America NEEDS him to change and fix this country. I respect other people's opinion unless you're ignorant, and not voting for Obama and wanting his leadership is ignorant. For true.
